What is this web site for?

The Europe of the Regions, the Europe promoting the learning of more languages for a better reciprocal understanding of its citizens is now a reality.
Our "Languages in a plurilingual environment" project has this specific reality in its background.
Our project group sees this web site as a good environment for whoever might be interested in the teaching - learning of languages and inter-cultural issues: with young learners (age 5-11) constantly in our mind, we intend to offer teachers, experts and parents good tools for reflecting and acting in this field.
We, as a crossborder group, are particularly sensitive to crossborder issues (contact languages, inter-cultural awareness and so on), but our proposals are also open to persons acting in contexts far different from ours. Materials include contributions by experts, legislation, examples of meaningful teaching practices, etc.
We hope users will enjoy this web site and we are open to any questions, comments and suggestions.
