COSPRAS
SCHOOL
- FAMILY COOPERATION
 |
Project
summary:
|
What
does "good practice" mean in relation to the school and
the family? What is needed to build a good relationship between
the school and the family?
This
research project aims at identifying the organisational measures
and the communication methods which foster relations between the
school and the family so as to enhance cooperation in the support
for pupil learning, and identifying how these aims can be reached
in a school which is undergoing changes in terms of autonomy, even
at the European level.
The
project also aims at creating useful material for the training and
self-training of teachers at all school levels on the issue of family
relations.
COSPRAS
is a three-year research project in the framework of the Socrates
Programme, Comenius Action 2.1, the main source of funding, and
has been included in the 2002-2004 regional activity plan of IRRE
Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The
Italian partner's contribution:
|
The
Italian partner contributed tho the project by working on the following
aspects of school-family interactions:
- written
communication
- spoken
communication
Written
communication: how to improve it
The
analysis of a number of school-family written documents is planned,
meant as a basis for a series of practical suggestions aiming at
improving written communication with parents.
Spoken
communication: how to improve parent-teacher individual meetings
A number
of interviews to parents and teachers are planned on the issue of
parent-teacher individual meetings. Analysing the results of those
interviews is thought as the starting point for working down training
materials aiming at the improvement of the individual meetings.
