Two
schools of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region were involved in the
project. The analysis of discussion groups, interviews and written
communication materials collected in these two pilot schools provided
an excellent basis for the elaboration of the in-service training
materials produced.
The two pilot schools, mentioned here below in more details, were
chosen as they represented:
- all
school levels (from pre-primary to high school)
- different
areas of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region (town and country)
Comprehensive
Institute of Rivignano, composed by 6 state schools, in different
buildings widespread in a large rural area:
· 3 pre-primary schools (for children aged 3-6, not compulsory)
· 2 primary schools (for children aged 6-11)
· 1 middle school (for children aged 11-14).
All the above mentioned schools have one headmaster and one central
administrative unit. Teachers often meet to try and coordinate their
didactical/pedagogical programs. Each school in the Comprehensive
Institute acts independently.
Technical
Institute "Deledda" of Trieste.
Secondary school (for students aged 14-19), in an urban area. State
school, not compulsory. The Institute is located in two buildings.
The
training material drafted by the I.R.R.E. team on the parent-teacher
individual meeting was validated by teachers and parents of the
Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region.
The
trial of the material, the readings and the comments, together with
all of the observations gathered, were analysed by the I.R.R.E.
team which then drew up the final version of the training material
presented in the CD-ROM.
Our
warmest thanks go to all of the teachers and parents for their valuable
cooperation and their contribution to our work. Please excuse us
if any names are missing from this list: THANKS to you all!
